Software engineer in Chattanooga

Professional background

I studied art and music in college before joining the Marines, where I was a staff officer for about five years, mostly spent between East Asia and Central Europe.

After that, I worked at a mutual insurance lobbying organization, building their html emails and maintaining websites for member companies. I ended up learning C#/.NET and joined the software engineering team there after a couple years.

I eventually moved to Chattanooga to work as a software engineer at a logistics company. I was assigned to the payroll and accounting department, where I built internal apps, from the SQL stored procedures to the .NET API and the Angular2 front end.

I'm now at a small fintech company in Chattanooga, building more things.

Personal background

If I'm drawing or playing piano these days, it's for my kids.
